XR Product Lead | Technologist | Architect
As an Architect, I don't only design buildings; I design experiences for people through the physical built environment, with a balance of form, function and engineering rigor.
I've been trained to think in multiple-dimensions, from the 2-dimensional blueprints, to 3-dimensional built reality, and to the 4th-dimension of time: how sunlight paints a space at different time of the day. And beyond that, there's also the human-dimension: how people interact with the built environment.
These training made me a 3D native in a digital industry that's learning to think that way for the first time with the rise of the Metaverse. An innovator with cross-discipline expertise in Architecture, BIM, Training Simulation, Gaming, Digital Tiwns and XR industries, I bring an unique experience to this new challenge.
In 2015, I began my journey down the XR rabbit hole, transferring my experience design expertise to the virtual reality world. A curious hacker at heart, I learned to code through youtube and google. I hacked till it worked.
My passion is to explore innovative use of new technologies to create immersive XR experiences that enable people to do something surreal. For example, what if I can fly in the sky as a Dragon? or as Ironman? You can experience that in my award-winning indie VR game, BattleSky VR.
I believe XR technology will transform how people learn and play. Since 2018, I've led a team to complete numerous XR Simulation Solutions, implementing Digital Twins of physical sites for training in different fields, be it Transportation, Police, Military, or Fire Safety. In 2022, I joined HTC to lead product development to innovate platforms and solutions to build up new business models in the Metaverse and Virtual Production. in 2024, I founded my own company, HyperCreative, to innovate XR / Spatial computing applications on AR, VR and MR devices. Our latest game, Rhythm Pop! is now available on the Meta Quest App Lab.
A proven leader, I have built studios from the ground-up across multiple domains in different countries, and have driven teams of designers, programmers and 3D artists to develop and deliver products from concept through launch, with a track record of delivering award-winning projects and winning VR Hackathons.
Growing up in Taiwan and Canada and receiving my architecture degree from Cornell University in the US, I am a world traveler. With work experiences in Seattle, Singapore, China, Mongolia and Taiwan, I have learned to see things from a global perspective.
